Belgian police detain 12 to foil attack on Ireland-Belgium Euro match

The federal prosecutor's office in Brussels said Saturday that homes and car ports were searched in 16 municipalities, mostly in and around Brussels. Of the 40 people taken for interrogation, 12 were arrested.
on suspicion of planning an attack during Saturday afternoon's Euro 2016 match between Ireland and Belgium. Belgium remains under the second highest terror alert in wake of the March 22 attacks on the Brussels subway and airport which left 32 people dead.
