Biden awards Wendy Sherman No. 2 State Department post
President-elect Joe Biden has appointed two Obama-era officials to top State Department posts – Wendy Sherman as Deputy Secretary of State and Victoria Nuland as undersecretary of State for political affairs. Sherman played a key role in the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. Nuland as State Department spokesperson was involved in the Obama administration’s whitewash of the lapses that led to the terrorist murders of four US diplomats at the Benghazi consulate in 2012.
