Biden schedules 40 hours from July 13 for his first visit to Israel as US president
The White House announced that on July 13, during his 40-hour visit, starting with a formal airport reception, he will be Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s guest for dinner and also meet Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah. A White House official reported that the visit would also feature a virtual summit with Bennett, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Muhammed Bin-Zayid. The four leaders will discuss the world’s food security crisis sparked by the Ukraine war as well as expanded cooperation in the fields of technology and innovation.
From Israel, the president will fly direct to Jeddah where a regional summit for nine Arab rulers has been arranged.
