Bodies of 9 terrorists to be returned to families; state removes objection
Israel's Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that the bodies of nine terrorists, including those who carried out attacks in the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Armon Hanatziv and Pisgat Zeev in which Jews were murdered, are to be handed over to their families. The court also recommended that the process be completed by the beginning of the month of Ramadan, which starts this year in June. The ruling came after the state withdrew its objection to the return of the bodies. Thus, the step will be taken without the police's conditions under which large-scale funeral processions or ceremonies for the terrorists are barred, and burials can only take place late at night with a very small number of participants.
