Bomb blast at Israel embassy in Delhi. No injuries
The Delhi police reported a “low intensity” explosion near the Israel embassy in New Delhi, causing no injuries only smashing the widows of five cars. India’s National Investigation Agency and police are probing the incident after cordoning off the area and rushing over a heavy deployment of police forces. Israeli Ambassador to India Ron Malka confirmed that “the mission is on high alert and everyone is fine inside.” No individual or organization has claimed responsibility.
This blast came on Friday, the day that India and Israel celebrated 29 years of diplomatic relations. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke to his Israeli counterpart Gabi Ashkenazi and assured him that the incident was being taken very seriously and would be thoroughly investigated.
India’s Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has issued an alert at all airports, important installations and government buildings.
