Bomb kills six Egyptian policemen at checkpoint in heart of Cairo

The Egyptian capital suffered its first terrorist attack in several months on Friday when a powerful bomb blew up next to a police vehicle at a checkpoint on one of the city’s main roads, a thoroughfare leading to the Pyramids. The blast left six policemen dead and three wounded.
