Bomb threat on planes headed to Brussels found to be hoax
Brussels airport went on alert at about 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday evening after bomb threats were reported on two planes preparing to land at the city's Zaventem airport. The threats were found to be a hoax. The pilot of one of the aircraft reported the threat he received to air traffic control. A spokesman for the federal prosecutor initially said the threat was deemed "serious enough to take measures". A large number of emergency crews rushed to the airport and flights that were on their way to Zaventem were instructed to land at alternate airports. One of the incoming flights, from Oslo, landed safely at Zaventem while the other flight, from Morocco, landed safely at France's Toulouse airport.
