Brexit deadlock backlash hits two main UK parties in local polls

Partial results from 248 British local council ballots deal heavy blows to both Theresa May’s ruling Conservatives and James Corbyn’s opposition Labor over their failure to find a way out of the Brexit mess. Full results due later Friday are expected to confirm the voters’ mass exodus from the two main parties, to the benefit of the Lib Dems, the Green Party and independents.
