Brexit shocks continue: Labour Party’s Corbyn loses no-confidence vote

Labour Party members of the British parliament passed a motion of no confidence in party leader Jeremy Corbyn on Tuesday by a vote of 172-40 in the aftermath of the Brexit referendum. The nonbinding vote calls on Corbyn to step down, but so far he has refused. The main criticism of Corbyn is that he failed to convince British citizens to vote in favor of remaining in the EU. Many members of his party voted in favor of leaving the alliance, contrary to his view that Britain should remain.
