Britain ramps up security at ports, predicts more terror for Europe
The day after the UK ramped up security checks at British ferry ports and Eurostart terminals from France, MI5 domestic security chief Andrew Parker warned Friday that Europe faced a growing threat of “mass casualty attacks” and that “intelligence pointed to the existence of specific plots.” The terror alert has also been raised at British airports, seaports and railways, including the London Underground. After the Charlie Hebdo massacre, the UK also sent a specialist counter-terror police officer to Paris to beef up its anti-terror team in France.
