Britain restores diplomatic ties with Iran

Ajay Sharma, head of the Foreign Office Iran department will take up the post of non-resident charge d’affaires in Tehran, while Mohammad Hassan Habibollah is the Iranian charge to the UK. Relations were broken off two years ago when radical Iranian students ransacked the British embassy in Tehran.
