British ambassador to Riyadh on Hajj after converting to Islam

Simon Collis, UK envoy to Riyadh, became the first senior British diplomat ever to perform the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, after converting to Islam. He confirmed this after pictures posted on Twitter showed him and his wife Huda wearing the traditional white garments of Muslim pilgrims in front of the British consulate in Mecca.
