The Metropolitan Police has launched a criminal investigation into allegations of anti-Semitic hate crimes within Labor, the UK’s main opposition party, after a leaked internal party dossier detailed 45 cases. Among them were messages posted by party members on social media, including one that read: “We shall rid the Jews who are a cancer on us all.” A police spokesman said: “On Tuesday September 4, the Met Commissioner was handed a folder of paperwork that included evidence of anti-Semitic hate crimes. The contents were examined by specialist officers and a criminal investigation launched.” Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn and his closest allies have been struggling for some time against charges that he and his party tolerate anti-Semitic views. Corbyn himself attended an event in Tunis where a wreath was laid in honor of some the Palestinian terrorists guilty of the 1972 Munich massacre of Israel sportsmen. He has also boasted of Hizballah friends.
