British warplanes scrambled to intercept Russian bombers

Four British typhoon jets were scrambled to intercept a pair of Russian bombers that approached British airspace on Wednesday afternoon, a spokesman for the British Defense Ministry said. The bombers turned back after repeated warnings from British control towers and the jets.
