Cairo truce talks impasse. Hamas, Jihad won’t discuss terms

Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal rejected Israel’s terms are unacceptable. "The party which attacked Palestine will be buried there. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is asking for a ceasefire, said the Hamas leader. Netanyahu’s office sharply denied this as a flat lie.
DEBKAfile sources reported earlier that the Israeli military-intelligence team which traveled to Cairo Sunday for the ceasefire negotiations returned home Monday when they saw their errand was pointless.
