Cameron calls Cobra committee over IS threat to British hostage
The British emergency committee met Wednesday to consider the Islamic State’s threat to behead a British hostage unless US attacks on its forces stop. Prime Minister David Cameron faces the dilemmas of negotiating with terrorists for the life of the Briton and whether to intervene in the war on IS. Tuesday, the Islamic State militant group released a video showing the beheading of a second American journalist, Steven Sotloff, 31, from Miami, after James Foley. His mother had addressed to the IS leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdad, an emotional plea for Ssteven Sotloff's life. In both videos, the black-clad murderer spoke with a British accent.
