Car bomb rocks Kabul’s diplomatic district; 80 dead
About 80 people were killed and 350 others were wounded when a car bomb blew up Wednesday morning in Afghanistan's capital, the country's Health Ministry said. Most of the casualties were said to be civilians. The explosion close to the presidential palace and a number of embassies was so powerful that it shattered windows more than a kilometer away. Video of the aftermath showed widespread destruction and chaos. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
