Casualties from double bombing in Istanbul reach 38 killed, 150 injured
The Turkish government declared a day of national mourning on Sunday following the double bombing outside Besiktas stadium, not far from Taksim square in central Istanbul, at about 9:30 on Saturday night. The bombs blew up following a football match between two Turkish teams. A car bomb was first detonated next to a bus carrying policemen, and then a suicide bomber blew himself up nearby 45 seconds later. The blasts left 38 people dead and 150 wounded.
