Casualties in rare explosion in Latakia

The Syrian news agency reports that “terrorists fired several rockets" into Latakia, Bashar Assad’s Allawite stronghold Thursday causing a number of casualties. The town has been tense since a relative of the president shot dead a senior military officer. Damascus announced his arrest Tuesday in response to local protests.
