Changing of the guard at Israel’s far left

 Nitzan Horowitz defeated incumbent Tamar Zandberg for the leadership of the far-left Meretz party by a vote of 459 to the 389. In his victory speech Thursday night, Horowitz lampooned the Blue-White party as a “soap bubble.” He advised Meretz adherents who voted Blue-White in the April election to return to the fold.
