China will not sit idle if Trump acts against its trade practices
US President Donald Trump Monday authorized a review of China’s trade practices regarding intellectual property. Although it could take months, the move could eventually lead to US tariffs on Chinese imports and other trade sanctions. It was indicated that the step would be eased depending on Beijing’s reining in of North Korea. China's commerce ministry issued a statement voicing "serious concern" and warning this would "definitely harm bilateral trade relations. If the US side takes actions that impair the mutual trade relations, China will not sit idle," the statement said on Tuesday.
