Chocolate billionaire Poroshenko wins Ukraine presidency

Petro Porochenko, 48, declared victory Sunday night after exit polls gave him 56 percent of the presidential vote that was boycotted by some Pro-Russian separatists in East Ukraine. In his victory speech, he said his first priority was to end the war and his first trip would be to the east to offer jobs and language rights to end the insurgency. But he said, Ukraine would never recognize the annexation of Crimea.  If the figures are confirmed, Porochenko will not face a second round, since former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko lagged far behind him in second place with 12.9 percent.
