Christians targeted in Lahore attack that left 72 dead
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif delayed his departure for London Monday following the suicide bombing that targeted a crowded Easter Sunday family picnic at the Lahore Gulshan Iqbal Park, leaving at least 72 dead and more than 300 injured. A Taliban splinter organization Jamaat-e-Ahrar claimed that the attack, staged near a children’s playground, targeted Christians. It was the third terrorist attack in Pakistan this month.
