CIA Director Pompeo on unannounced visit to Seoul

The CIA Director Mike Pompeo arrived in Seoul unannounced Monday for what was described by US sources as an “internal meeting” with US embassy staff and US military chiefs posted in South Korea. Sources in Seoul reported meetings with South Korean intelligence chiefs and senior officials. American sources denied the trip was connected with the May 9 presidential elections or that Pompeo had come to check out the candidates to see if their views on North Korea were line with Trump administration policies.
