CIA informs Poland of possible attacks on Warsaw, Krakow
The CIA has provided Poland's domestic security organization, the ABW, with intelligence information regarding the possibility of a terrorist attack in the Polish capital Warsaw. It also provided warnings, although less specific ones, to Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Germany on possible attacks in their capitals. Another warning was issued concerning the Pope's planned visit to the Polish city of Krakow towards the end of July on the occasion of International Youth Day for an event expected to draw about two million Catholic visitors from around the world.
