Civilians evacuated from last ISIS pocket in Syria
A spokesman for the US-backed SDF said Wednesday that trucks have begun evacuating civilians from Baghuz village, the last ISIS pocket in eastern Syria. SDF forces are surrounding the village for the last decisive battle to eliminate the “caliphate.” The spokesman could not say if Islamist fighters had escaped with the civilians, their nationalities, or how many women and children belonging to the terrorists were among them, before they undergo SDF screening.
