Clinton’s doctors diagnose a blood clot in her head

In response to spreading speculation about Hillary Clinton’s medical condition, Dr. Lisa Bardack and Dr. Gigi El-Bayoumi released a statement Monday night saying a blood clot was located “in a vein between the brain and the skull and behind her right ear.” They said it had not caused a stroke or neurological damage and was being treated with blood thinners to try and dissolve it.  Medics not involved in her care say clots like this can be serious. If untreated, they can cause blood to back up and lead to hemorrhage inside the brain.
