Closure for Jerusalem districts generating Palestinian terror
Closure and if necessary curfews are among the anti-terror security measures and penalties for terrorists approved by the Israeli security cabinet overnight Tuesday. Others were the demolition of homes, impounding of terrorists’ assets, revoking permanent residency (and employment) status, filling gaps in the security barrier, and the deployment of IDF troops in cities, roads and buses.
DEBKAfile: This measure is designed both to reduce the pervasive sense of insecurity, especially in Jerusalem, and to activate the IDF for counter-terror operations on the same model as it is employed to subdue violence and terror in the Palestinian West Bank towns.
