Controversial Shiite cleric Sadr set to sweep Iraq’s election

Near final results show the changeable Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr’s Sairoon alliance, which is backed by communist and leftist groups, sweeping to victory in Iraq’s first general election in nine years. Sairoon was well ahead of both the pro-Iranian bloc led by militia leader Hadi Amiri and the Nasr coalition headed by US-backed Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, according to almost complete tallies in all but two provinces. Results from the Kurdish province of Dahuk and Kirkuk are held up over charges of wide-scale voter fraud.

Islamists do not generally like leftists – they get in the way of supreme Islamic supremacy. The Islamic State of Iran should be kicked out of Iraq altogether. It is the turn of Saudi, UAE, Bahrain and others to do that work now. The USA got a very bad deal in Iraq because they left instead of ruling over the country until it had a chance to mature to the point where the Islamism takes a back seat to secular rule. There should have been an enforced separation of Islam from State. America should be paid back for its enormous loss of men and resources by ceasing Iraq’s oil until the debt has been repaid.

USA are fools. We lay down our lives and spend all this money for what ? It is time we treat protectionist behavior with protectionist compensation. You want us to fight your battles, prop up your gov ? Pay for it. We should have owned the daily 20 million barrels oil. Pathetic to just be the good guys and walk away or be thrown out. We need contracts with all These puppet dictators as to what happens after we give them their thrones. Bastards

The U.S. is owed at least 2 trillion dollars by Iraq for all of its efforts in getting rid of Saddam Hussein. Also add the getting rid of ISIS as well to this. The biggest winners so far from this have been Iran and the U.S. armament industry. It reminds one of how the U.S. should have taken full control of the banks in 2006-2008 by nationalizing them which would have led to a big reduction in the government debt. Also, since the U.S. depends a great deal on its armaments, the U.S. armament industry should also be nationalized for its security interests. Thus, its two biggest debts could be better controlled.

In the past, Iraqi Shiite clerics were only in the religious arena, but many are now also turning to the political arena as well due to Iranian Shiite clerics doing both. Thus, the Shiite Iraqi clerics are pro-Iraq and/or pro-Iran. It appears that Al-Sadr is pro-Iraq and not pro-Iran nor pro-U.S. There are three different camps in this Iraq election: pro-Iraq groups, pro-Iran groups and pro-U.S. groups.

This Shea Cleric Sadr is responsible for the murder of I don’t know how many US soldiers. He is the Iranian connection when we were in Iraq and caused many an American to be killed using Iranian supplied IED’s. If ever a person needed to be whacked it is this guy Sadr.

I’m surprised that CIA and Saudi money couldn’t buy enough votes for the Sunni to win.
