Coronavirus outbreaks among school staff

The Ministry of Health say Israelis are becoming careless about the guidelines for preventing the spread of coronavirus. Cases of school staff members occurred, reopened two weeks ago, which forced pupils to go into quarantine in several towns including North Tel Aviv, Rishon Lezion, Rosh Ha’Ayin, Rehovoth, Benei Barak and Ramle. The ministry says the schools in particular are becoming lax in enforcing distancing and hygiene. People are also reluctant to undergo covid-19 tests. The number of Israelis infected by the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic has risen to 16,683 of whom 13,724 have recovered and 279 have died. There are currently 2,680 people actively sick with covid-19, 47 in serious condition and 36 on ventilators.
