Coronavirus tests begin for prison inmates and staff

The Prison service has begun covid-19 tests on Israel’s prison inmates and warders.  The first 100 convicts undergoing the test on Tuesday were patients at the Prison Medical Center, who were deemed at high risk of infection, and prisoners in solitary confinement.

The Health Ministry reports that 9,459 covid-19 tests were conducted countrywide on Monday, compared with 7,680 on Sunday.
