Counterterrorism bureau: Taba crossing remains closed for Israelis

Israel's counterterrorism bureau announced Tuesday that the Taba crossing between Israel and the Sinai Peninsula will remain closed for Israeli citizens until further notice. The move comes in light of an intensification of the threat to Israelis visiting the Sinai amid a serious and immediate threat of terrorist attacks against tourists in the peninsula, the bureau said. The crossing into Egypt was closed to Israelis before the start of the Passover holiday.
