Court puts off ruling on Trump’s order barring citizens of 7 Muslim countries

An appeals court in San Francisco on Tuesday delayed by several days its decision on reinstating an executive order by US President Donald Trump that bars citizens of seven Muslim countries from entering the country. The step came after Saturday's appeal by the Justice Department of rulings by two federal judges, one in Boston and another in Seattle, that the order is unconstitutional and illegal. A Justice Department representative claimed during Tuesday's proceedings that the seven countries pose a danger to US citizens. Regardless of the appeals court's decision, the issue will apparently be taken up by the Supreme Court.
