Crime ring that smuggled offroad vehicles to Hamas broken up by Israel
Israel has broken up a criminal network that smuggled offroad vehicles to the military wing of Hamas. The vehicles were stolen in Israel, taken apart and then transported into Gaza on trucks with merchandise that had been approved for delivery. Three Israeli Bedouin members of the ring have been arrested and taken in for questioning. It is estimated that more than 100 of such vehicles that could be used for Hamas military operations have already been smuggled into Gaza. The ring was broken up in a joint operation by the Israel Police, the Defense Ministry's land crossings authority and the Shin Bet domestic security service.
