Curfew imposed on Nigerian town after student massacre

Unknown gunmen opened fire Tuesday on students of the three institutions located in the Nigerian town of Mubi. Police have recovered 26 bodies but the figure is expected to rise. The assailants are suspected members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect. They kept on shooting for more than an hour in what was described as a “commando-style attack" on Nigeria’s Independence Day night.
