Date set for summit between North Korean and South Korea leaders

North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, and President Moon Jae-in of South Korea will meet for the first time on April 27, officials said on Thursday, setting a date for talks meant to continue the recent détente on the Korean Peninsula and pave the way for the summit between Kim and President Trump. They will meet at Peace House, a South Korean building inside Panmunjom, south of the demarcation line that bisects Panmunjom, which means that Kim would be the first North Korean leader to set foot in the South since the Korean War.
