DEBKAfile reports 15 Russian warships off Syrian coast

According to DEBKAfile’s military sources, the Russians have now massed 15 warships off the coast of Syria. The first to reveal the deployment of a Russian fleet opposite Syria last Saturday, Aug. 25, our sources describe the fleet as including a cruiser, a destroyer, four frigates and three corvettes – all armed with guided missiles, as well as two large landing craft, two of the Russian navy’s biggest minesweepers, and two submarines carrying cruise missiles.
