Debris possibly of missing MH370 goes missing too

A multinational air search was conducted Friday to locate two possible pieces of debris of the missing MH370 sighted by Austrian satellite in the southern Indian Ocean 13 days after the airliner with 239 people aboard vanished. It was suspended with nightfall. The fragments were spotted initially in the sea 1500 miles south-west of the Australian town of Perth. But rough seas and strong currents in this vast area may have moved the fragments or drowned them. High-flying radar Thursday failed to pick up anything, and a Norwegian cargo vessel which tried to scour the sea overnight with searchlights was hampered by stormy waves. The British HMS Echo, equipped for deep-sea survey work with instruments for oceanographic and bathymetric analysis, is now heading to the Indian Ocean.
