Debris sighted of missing Indonesian Boeing passenger plane

Sriwijaya Air passenger flight SJ182 with 59 passengers on board lost contact with flight control shortly after taking off from Jakarta airport on Jan. 9. The Boeing 737-500 flight was said to have dropped more than 10,000 ft. in less than a minute. Debris and body parts suspected to have come from the crashed flight have been spotted in the sea not far from Jakarta, according to local TV. A coast guard ship’s captain is said to reported finding the debris. Sriwijaya Air said that it was collecting more data before issuing a statement.
