Demos in Tehran against corruption in high places

DEBKAfile’s exclusive sources report that thousands of protesters rallied this week outside the residence of supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran against corruption at the highest levels of the Islamic government. The government clamped gag orders on the event. The protesters carried placards with the slogan: “Where is the money?” It was a reference to the vast sums released to Iran by the Obama administration for signing the 2015 nuclear accord. The large numbers of Revolutionary Guards officers who broke up the demonstration were instructed to act with restraint and refrain from making arrests,

    This time I hope we encourage people who want a voice. Unlike the previous great deceiver. Regards to all.
    I met some very nice Iranians in the 70s at college. I miss their disappearance. The ladies disappeared behind sheets. They only wanted to be like me.

    The regime will just torture and murder the Iranian people again like they did before. That’s how they hold on to power, by using rent-a-thug outfits that they call upon as soon as people hold protests against them…truly barbaric!
