Economist Hazem el-Biblawi named Egyptian prime minister

The Egyptian government spokesman announced Tuesday that the economist and former finance minister Hazem el-Biblawi was named provisional prime minister, shortly after Saudi Arabia and the UAE transferred $7 billion in emergency aid to Egypt’s central bank. Mohamed ElBaradei is named vice president for foreign affairs.
