Edelstein Covid-19 infection nears 200 in 24 hours

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein reported Tuesday that nearly 200 newly-infected covid-19 cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours. He blamed the public for falling short on compliance with the three health guidelines, likening this sort of negligence to a car speeding recklessly at 165kph. The number of schoolchildren and teachers affected by the disease has gone up to 407;  1,800 are in quarantine and 103 schools are closed. The minister also heard that the country’s hospitals are deep in the red over their inability to keep their outpatient clinics running during the coronavirus crisis or  treat private foreign patients.
