Edward Snowden nominated for 2014 Nobel
Two Norwegian politicians jointly nominate US fugitive Edward Snowden for the 2014 Peace Prize. Former foreign minister, Socialist Baard Vegar Slhjell, told AFP that he and a colleague don’t necessarily condone Snowden’s disclosures, but praised him for “revealing the nature and technological prowess of modern surveillance by nations against other nations and of citizens,” and for “spurring public debate.”
