Egypt leery of US-sponsored anti-Iran ME Air Defense Alliance

Egyptian sources in Cairo explained on Wednesday why their government is not keen on joining the Middle East Air Defense Alliance that President Joe Biden is to inaugurate during his regional trip next month. Egypt is amenable to security collaboration with Israel, say the sources, but sees no point in turning Iran into an enemy when Tehran poses no threat to Cairo.
