Egypt limits outward British flights from Sharm el-Sheikh
Although thousands of British tourists were informed they would be evacuated from Sharm el-Sheikh Friday, Egypt has limited the number of outward flights creating confusion and anger among the 20,000 Britons stranded at the Red Sea resort. The Egyptian aviation minister said that only eight flights would depart for the UK out of the 29 scheduled. Holidaymakers reaching checking are often told their flight is delayed. British sources suspect that the Egyptians are being obstructive. Cairo replies that the limits are imposed according to the capacity of the airport and denies blocking flights..
