Egypt says international condemnation fosters violence
The interim presidencyi Cairo issued a statement Friday accusing international denunciations, including President Barack Obama’s condemnation, of not being based on facts and encouraging violence groups. It said Egypt was facing a wave of terrorist attacks on vital installations, churches and government buildings by supporters of the ousted president Mohamed Morsi. President Obama Thursday deplored violence against civilians and cancelled the US-Egyptian biannual exercise scheduled for next month. He did not cancel the US military aid program for Egypt.
