Egyptian air strikes kill 16 Sinai terrorists
Egypt’s military spokesman Col. Ahmed Mohammed Ali said on Saturday that the air strikes had targeted hideouts of "terrorist, extremely dangerous" armed groups with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood late on Friday in the northern Sinai town of Sheikh Zuweyid. Sixteen armed fighters were killed. It was the fourth such airstrike with a high death toll since armed fighters downed a military helicopter in a nearby area on Jan. 24, killing all its crew members.
