Egyptian police thwart Islamist suicide car bombing in N. Sinai

Police said Saturday that guards atop police station towers in the northern Sinai town of Sheikh Zuweyd opened fire on two cars, which exploded before reaching the building. The blast injured two Egyptian police officers, shattered windows and damaged the police station and surrounding buildings.
