All 10 victims of the flash flood disaster in S. Israel named
The 10 victims, 9 girls and a boy, who died in a flash flood south of the Dead Sea Thursday were aged 17 to 19 and students at a pre-military academy. The body of the tenth was recovered overnight. They have all been identified: Ella Or from Ma’aleh Adummim, Romi Cohen from Moshav Maor,Yael Sadan from Jerusalem, Maayan Barhum from Jerusalem, Agam Levy from Moshav Herut, Gali Balelli from Givatayim, Shani Shamir from Shoham, Tzur Alafi from Maskeret Batya, Adi Raanan from Moshav Michmoret and Ilan Bar-Shalom from Rishion LeZion.
The Police Southern District is investigating the suspicion of causing death by negligence on the part of the Tel Aviv B’nei Zion school management for its approval of the outing in a desert area prone to flash floods in turbulent weather.

But, why Police? No Police, no punishment, PREVENTION sounds better. And then, only THAT specific school sends people? Fix the whole area with signs, escape cables, this will really make it “never again”.
Yes, in Russia they would be sending Police. But, in a smart country, you fix it good.
