Eighth Hamas cross-border tunnel exposed, deactivated

The longest and deepest Hamas terror tunnel, discovered some months ago, has been deactivated in time to avert its use as a conduit for a mass surge of Palestinian “demonstrators” into Israel, the IDF reported Sunday. The tunnel crossed from the Gaza Strip under the border and was dug 20 meters into Israel under the Shaar Hanegev region. It was linked to a large underground network built by Hamas inside the enclave. Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman commented that the discovery of the eighth terror tunnel was an impressive IDF intelligence and technological feat. Addressing the Gaza population, he noted that Hamas was burning millions of dollars on tunnels going nowhere rather than on providing them with decent living standards.

100% Right on ! If they were “populated” – the appropriate action would have been to flood them with their own, export quality liquid s^*t !

Observe the exit, wait for it to bu filled with terrorists, then flood it with CO2 or H2S. In other words, fumigate it and all of its branches. Many birds with one stone!

Tunnels obviously do not work. There are easy detectors for hot air balloons. But not for hydrogen balloons, faster to deploy than tunnels and carrying further inside border.

tunnels do work, and for modern infantry on static battle fronts they have to be considered a prerequisite for survival, but not any more in this case where the enemy has complete freedom to operate against you.

Did the IDF only recently find this tunnel or have they been aware of it for a long time? Were they waiting, allowing Hamas to waste money, time, resources and energy on building it and then destroying it at just the right time?

    Liberman hi,
You should have waited with destruction until the tunnel was full! Then it would have a nice job. What humanitarian ass hole did it prematurely? Again the 5th column.
